Art Advising
I approach art advisory as a personal and collaborative process rooted in education, curiosity, and long-term thinking. I specialize in modernist and contemporary furniture and art, helping clients navigate both the primary and secondary markets with clarity and confidence. Whether sourcing directly from artists and galleries or identifying important works on the secondary market, I guide clients through provenance, valuation, condition, and long-term significance while helping them build collections that feel both personally meaningful and materially enduring.
I hold an MFA from Pratt Institute and taught at the university level for ten years, experiences that continue to shape my approach to collecting and advising. Through longstanding relationships with emerging and mid-career artists nationally and internationally, I help clients acquire works they connect with deeply — whether sourcing a first significant piece, finding the right work for a specific space, or building a collection over time. I believe collecting should move at a thoughtful pace, and that living with art every day is one of the most meaningful parts of the process.
